What would you do?

Tap the link. The message is polite and well written

Not safe. Computers can now write perfect messages for scammers. Good English is no longer a sign that a message is real.

Reply and ask if the message is real

Not safe. The scammer will say yes. Replying also tells them your number is active.

Don’t tap it. Open your bank app yourself, or call the number on the back of your card

Safe choice. Correct. If something is really wrong with your account, your bank will tell you when you contact them yourself.

Remember this

Golden rule

Good English does not mean a message is real.
