For example “don’t tell anyone” or “don’t tell your family”.

Is it a new number or a stranger saying they are family, your bank or an office?

A name, a photo or a familiar voice is not proof.

Did they promise money, a prize or a profit that sounds too good to be true?

Grants with a fee, giveaways, or “double your money”.

Did they send a link or QR code and ask you to open it?

A link opens a website when you tap it.

  1. Don’t send money, codes or your details. Don’t tap any link.
  2. End the call, or stop replying to the message.
  3. If they said they are family, your bank or an office, contact them yourself on a number you already know.
  4. Talk to someone you trust before you do anything else.
